Carly And Her Girls

We are way beyond thrilled that Carly is back in the states!  And she can come to visit when she is here.  Just like old times...brings me to tears!  Another daughter back with the fam!  Not to mention two sweet little 'grand-daughters' to love on.

Our Little Buddy Came For A Visit

Pappy got to spend part of his Father's Day weekend with this little man that has the nickname of Buddy now. I apologize for all the pictures of this cute little face in this post. But how can you pick out just a few?

I haven't lost my touch.

He loved taking his nap in 'the cage'.

love those little feet

This is my very sad attempt at a photo I say w on Pinterest.  If you squint one eye you can see that there is a heart surrounding my little man.

love this one with Auntie Em

He really did like it once he got use to it.

To me that is a look of total trust!

We had a great couple of days with our little man.  And I think he likes us.

Woodpeckers

This one is always feeding the little one.

I have no idea what these two are.  They aren't even listed in our Ohio bird book.  Guess I will be sending an email to the Cincinnati Nature Center.

Already got info from the Nature Center...'the bird on the left is a fledged red-bellied woodpecker and the one on the right is the momma bird feeding it.  Despite the name, the red on the belly is hard to see.  The young woodpecker won't develop red on the head until the molt in late summer, early fall.'

Our Big Loud Jay

Blue jays have to be the hardest bird...well maybe right up there with the hummers...to photograph.  They sure are skittish.  I have been trying to sit out near the feeders so they will get use to seeing me.  They fly in, grab, and go.  All in about three seconds.  Today I tried to get him in the act...not great but it is a start.
